CONNOR (no longer available)

Are you looking for a new partner in crime? Do you have a lifetime of hiking adventure, long runs at sunset, the desire to hold a cold one and throw a ball . . . . endlessly. Connor is the answer to your every dream about owning a dog. Connor is an 8 year old retired show Champion.
Age: 8 years
Birthdate: 9/25/2016
Why would you want an 8 year old?
All the puppy shenanigans of house training and chewing and training are done.
All the adolescent attitudes of back talking and arguing are done.
What is left is a mature, well mannered, well trained dog who just wants to be someone’s active partner. Active is the key word. Connor wants to play fetch, hike, find stuff, run, play ball again. Oh one more game of ball before bed.
Why was he returned?
His family had a shift in circumstances and their living environment was not something Connor was adapting to well. He needs space to roam, be free and express himself. Connor is busy and needs a lifestyle and yard to his busy personality.
What does a partner to Connor look like?
Connor is the happiest boy when playing fetch. Fetch looks like anything that requires him to bring you a ball. Hide the ball (s) or toy(s) all over the house. Watch the Amazing Conner discover each and every one. Like a kid in a toy shop it just never gets old.
Connor needs a crate and a dog bed. He will rest on a dog bed or couch with something to chew but at night he prefers his crate. He needs the quiet and lack of choices to shut off and rest. If you are interested in the low impact sports with your partners, Connor would excel at Scentwork and tracking , even just because. He has a phenomenal nose and ferrets out balls and toys long forgotten. This led us to start Scent Work training, using that nose to work that brain. He would not be suitable for apartment living or a home with small children. He would do well with another female dog, but his energy level could cause conflict with another male dog.
Conner is neutered and UTD on his vaccines.
